The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Handle business disputes from the initial fact-finding stage through resolution, appearing in both state and federal courts. Partner closely with senior attorneys and speak directly with clients about case approach, with room to build a career on a national platform.
What you'll do
- Oversee complex business disputes at every stage, from first investigation to resolution.
- Carry out fact-finding, run document and witness discovery, and conduct depositions.
- Write pleadings, present oral argument on motions and represent clients in mediation sessions.
- Support partners on matters involving the freight and logistics sectors.
- Advise clients directly and help shape case strategy.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- Roughly 3 to 7 years of practice handling business litigation, with a 2023 or earlier law school graduation year.
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active Arizona bar admission, or readiness to secure it quickly.
- Hands-on background with discovery, depositions and motion practice in trial-level courts.
- Familiarity with both state and federal court proceedings.
- Ability to juggle several matters at once and stay effective under pressure.
- Located in the Phoenix, AZ area and comfortable with a hybrid schedule.
Bonus points
- Prior work at a small, specialized litigation practice.
- Exposure to disputes in freight, logistics or supply chain settings.
- Experience as second chair at trial or in arbitration.
- Experience with administrative proceedings or arbitrations.
Benefits
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary: USD 205,000 to 240,000 per year
