Job Summary:

The Associate Account Manager is responsible for assisting the Account Managers with service needs on Commercial Accounts consisting of both new and renewal business, with a positive attitude.  Specific service responsibilities are assigned per guidelines, procedures, quality and service standards as stated by the agency.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support Account Managers by processing Certificates of Liability Insurance and Evidences of Property Insurance, requesting policy changes, processing endorsements and audits, requesting invoices from the invoicing team, requesting carrier loss runs, and answering questions and concerns of the client

  • Respond to Account Manager requests in a timely manner to avoid potential E&O issues

  • Provide service and support to Account Managers on existing accounts and assist them in their delivery of commitments to clients

  • Prepare Summaries of Insurance and Premium & Loss Summaries and assist with preparation of Coverage Proposals at the direction of the Account Manager

  • Maintain client accounts on the agency management system (EPIC), document conversations with underwriters and/or insureds, properly attach documents to EPIC, send confirmations to insureds and adhere to all other automation procedures that are or become established.  Maintain follow-up and suspense system for outstanding orders and correspondence, follow-up on overdue and suspense items.  Respond to carrier requests for additional information in a timely manner. 

  • Participate in monthly team renewal meetings with Producer and Account Manager(s)

  • Participate in weekly team meetings with Producer and Account Manager(s)

Other Responsibilities:

  • Participate in seminars and other training for knowledge and skill development

  • Provide backup in other areas as assigned by Account Managers, with Management approval

  • Perform other duties and special projects at Management’s request

  • Help develop efficiencies in automation and paper flow

  • Keep Account Managers fully informed of important activities on all accounts and up to date regarding status of VIP accounts

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required

  • Active Florida Property & Casualty Insurance License preferred

  • Willing to obtain 4-40 License within 60 days if not currently licensed.

  • Epic experience strongly preferred

  • Commercial Lines Property & Casualty Client Service experience preferred

  • Effective communication, both written and verbal

  • Ability to build positive relationships both internally and externally
