A day in the life.

As our Account Manager on the Real Estate/Hospitality Commercial Lines team, you'll build and maintain key client and carrier relationships, assist assigned clients and teammates with service questions related to administration, billing, claims issues and problem solving. You will be joining a high-performing, award-winning team that specializes exclusively in REH and supports clients nationwide. This team manages a portfolio of premium relationships averaging above $1,000,000 annually, a marker of complex, substantial risks and deep client partnerships. This means you'll work on meaningful, sophisticated business from day one, with access to carrier relationships and industry expertise that typically takes years to build.

You'll work with the Co-Leader of the REH Practice and leading Marketing Account Executives to monitor and manage the renewal process for assigned clients, provide analysis and recommendation of coverage needs, prepare/provide marketing information, complete the implementation process, create premium allocations, schedule and conduct meetings, prepare and deliver forms to clients, attend seminars, classes, client and insurance carrier meetings to stay up-to-date on products and legislative changes, and participate in other projects as needed.

Why Specialize in Real Estate & Hospitality?

The REH Commercial Lines practice at McGriff is one of the firm's most successful specialized vertical teams. Here's why top performers choose this path:

  • Deep Market Expertise: You'll be embedded in a team that speaks fluent REH—from property-specific underwriting to hospitality workforce challenges. This specialization is a career differentiator.
  • Significant Client Base: Managing accounts with $1M+ premiums means working with sophisticated decision-makers and complex business problems.
  • Growth Runway: As this team expands, high performers have clear visibility into advancement and leadership opportunities.
  • Carrier Relationships: Access to relationships and insights built over years—learn from producers who've mastered a niche market.
  • Industry Network: Build your professional brand within a thriving vertical. Specialists command premium positions and compensation in our industry.

Our future colleague.

We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training
  • 3+ years of commercial insurance industry experience (we prioritize candidates with a track record of growth and measurable client success)
  • Property and Casualty insurance license
  • Exceptional client relations skills: strategic communication, service excellence, and problem-solving orientation
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/management systems

These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:

  • Demonstrated success in a specialized industry vertical or niche market (we value those with the discipline to go deep)
  • Advanced degree or professional designation (CPCU, ARM, etc.)
  • Experience with Requests for Proposal (RFP) management
  • Track record of relationship-building and cross-functional collaboration

A Note for Top Performers: If you've excelled in a different insurance segment but are attracted to specialization and a proven high-performing team, we want to hear from you! This role offers the opportunity to bring your best practices into a team with deep REH expertise—a powerful combination.

We know there are excellent candidates who might not check all of these boxes. Don’t be shy. If you’re close, we’d be very interested in meeting you.
