What Will You Do?
- Over the course of this two-year program, you’ll have the opportunity to start your Commercial career journey in both Portfolio Management and New Deal Underwriting: Your responsibilities will include:
- 70% – Analyze and underwrite annual reviews for CMHC-insured mortgage loans, including migrating existing loans to a new underwriting platform. Ensure compliance with lending guidelines and prepare annual review submissions for management approval.
- 20% – Communicate with external origination partners and internal stakeholders (managers, administrators, and commercial mortgage staff) to ensure timely and efficient processing of annual reviews.
- 10% – Manage your deal flow and deadlines to meet service goals and maintain operational efficiency.

- Special Accounts Management Unit: Gain hands-on experience managing complex Commercial accounts and defaults. Work on high-value loans ($1.5M and above), coordinate with borrowers, lawyers, and property managers, and navigate legal processes across provinces. Get exposure to receiverships, property sales, and negotiations while protecting the Bank’s interests.

- Must be a fourth year graduating student studying Real Estate
- Demonstrated service excellence within their field
- Good working knowledge of MS Office (primarily Word and Excel)
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
- Established organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities
- Good time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Bilingualism is an asset
The Interview Process:
- Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an initial chat with our Talent Acquisition team. If successful, you'll be invited to an interview with our Commercial Team.
- Successful candidates will then participate in a 15-minute cognitive assessment followed by a background check.
