YOUR DAILY ADVENTURES WILL INCLUDE:

Within the Commercial Finance team, you are responsible of the overall financial steering of your scope of country(s) / business area(s) from top to bottom line, monitoring independently its performance vs financial targets

  • by owning the forecasting and planning process for your scope 
  • by monitoring and reporting on the actual performance in comparison with budget / forecast on a weekly and monthly basis, and staying agile in the financial steering in order to meet financial targets
  • by setting up efficient processes that allow to hold key stakeholders accountable for the financial impact of their actions and decisions
  • by being the principal point of contact regarding all financial questions and developments for your scope

You are a key sparring partner to local and central management regarding investment decisions for your markets as well as business opportunities in terms of growth, monetization and efficiency

  • by consulting them on what’s driving the business and what levers to pull to increase performance 
  • by evaluating the investment level based on your knowledge of the market and the involvement it will have on the budget allocated to your scope
  • by challenging operational and marketing teams on their investment decisions in awareness of both market and overall company interests
  • by supporting business decisions through financial analysis and business casing

You’ll take an active role in shaping the positioning of the Commercial Finance team within the organization

  • by participating in and maintaining the strong network to other functions within the headquarter and within the local markets
  • by taking part in further development of our existing tool kit for steering the business
  • by taking ownership for transversal projects with internal stakeholders
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:
  • You have got a degree in the fields of Economics or a comparable qualification with relevant financial expertise
  • You have >3 years of professional experience in the fields of Consulting, Controlling or Operations with strong financial focus
  • You achieved a proven track record of driving business performance through a commercially driven approach
  • You have an intuitive understanding of what drives a business model in a given market and the ability to validate this using commercial data within Excel and Google Sheets
  • You are comfortable working collaboratively with stakeholders across departments, providing constructive input and contributing to decision-making processes
  • You’re adapting quickly to new situations and bring natural curiosity to understand market specific challenges and potential solutions
  • You’re able to communicate complex ideas effectively in English; additional European languages are a plus
  • You’re a team player who is comfortable working in cross-cultural teams

Skills Required
