About the job

The Manager of Commercial Finance is a strategic business partner to the commercial organization, responsible for driving financial clarity, supporting commercial decisions, and ensuring accurate translation of sales activities into financial results. This role acts as a critical liaison between Sales, Accounting, and Finance, helping the organization improve forecasting accuracy, strengthen financial controls, and drive profitable, data-driven growth. The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and proactive, with a “can-do” mindset and the ability to build new processes in a dynamic public-company environment.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Sales, Finance, and Accounting to drive aligned planning and execution.
  • Facilitate clear understanding of customer agreements, pricing structures, rebates, and incentive programs.
  • Partner with Accounting to ensure commercial terms are compliant with U.S. GAAP and properly reflected in revenue and accruals.
  • Provide Sales leadership with accurate, actionable financial insights.
  • Partner with Accounting on revenue recognition, variable consideration, and ongoing financial compliance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Implement controls and review mechanisms to support ongoing contractual and financial compliance.
  • Develop trade spend forecasts with high accuracy and transparent assumptions.
  • Build dashboards and tools that enhance visibility into commercial trends and performance.
  • Deliver clear, insight-driven updates to senior leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2-4+ years accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP Standards
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • General awareness knowledge of the ISO9001 Quality Management System requirements, company Quality Policy and your contributions to the effectiveness of the QMS.
  • Responsible for being knowledgeable of and acting in strict accordance with the requirements of all relevant laws, regulations, and Company policies, including, among other areas, Food and Drug Administration regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Business or Finance
  • CPA or equivalent certification
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Fusion
  • Experience with trade spend accounting and deductions management.
  • Familiarity with convenience store distribution and promotional programs.
