We are looking for Commercial Finance Manager, responsible for all commercial planning and analysis in support of the BTCS core businesses in EMEA and Americas, plus global coverage of the NYFIX portfolio.
Tasks include management of actuals reporting, forecast preparation and delivery of insight and analytics both to understand and optimise financial performance, whilst ensuring monthly deliverables are met and key controls are adhered to.
Managing a team of 2 financial analysts supporting the heads of Sales in both EMEA and Americas in addition to the General Manager of the NYFIX business.
Reporting directly to the BTCS CFO, covering in periods of absence and working closely alongside the BTCS Consolidations Finance Manager and Decision Support Director.
Responsibilities:
Providing detailed financial analysis with regards to the financial performance of BTCS EMEA and Americas core businesses, plus global NYFIX.
Leading and developing the FP&A team members, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management, driving a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
Establish team priorities and deliverables aligned with business objectives and finance strategy.
Commercial financial planning and support for all new EMEA and North American deals, working with the pricing team when necessary and partnering with BTCS Senior Financial Analyst for Technology in relation to incremental and existing costs and Capex.
Partnering with the Heads of EMEA and Americas sales and account management teams to effectively analyse, forecast and report:
Variable compensation and expenses
Cancellations to losses
Client Renewals and Term Licences
Sales to Revenues
Maintaining cost budgets for both departments, partnering GSMS finance when necessary.
Partnering with EMEA and Americas Delivery Leads and NYFIX leadership team to maintain T & M and conversion reporting whilst improving profitability.
Responsible for forecasting and reporting of revenue flash actuals for the core EMEA and Americas regions and the global NYFIX business, identifying variances and adjusting forecasts when necessary
Participating in any ad-hoc projects within the BTCS FP&A team and internationally (alongside US colleagues and other international business units), assisting in determining and implementing enhancements to reporting systems and processes.
Collaborate with the Local Finance Leadership Team to support and drive initiatives aligned with the Cluj Finance strategy and objectives.
Any other ad-hoc work provided by the BTCS CFO.
Qualification and experience:
The ideal candidate would be an ambitious, driven qualified accountant, with a forward-thinking inquisitive mindset with 6-10 years’ experience in in an international and multi-currency environment, preferably within the Fintech industry.
The expectations of the role are high, with the aim of becoming a key participant in growing the FP&A function in Cluj and being an informal local lead for analysts outside of the BTCS business.
The successful candidate would need to be able to demonstrate:
High levels of productivity, accountability and ownership, ensuring tasks are closed out with urgency in an efficient and timely manner through effective prioritisation
Leadership and coaching skills to develop direct reports and have a positive impact on both the BTCS and other members of the Cluj FP&A team
A proven track record of ability to enforce positive change to processes, questioning the status quo to improve both FP&A and business reporting
Capability to influence senior business leadership via the development of strong, collaborative relationships whilst using sound facts and knowledge to drive businesses forward and challenge assumptions
Experience in using Oracle Fusion, IBM Cognos, and PowerBI, with ability to work with and create value adding dashboards alongside BTCS Decision Support Team.
Experience of handling multiple demands and competing priorities, even in complex situations and projects
Anticipation and the ability to deal constructively with unexpected challenges or sudden changes in priorities, which arise from working in a fast-moving environment.
Strong Excel skills required to V/X-Lookup and Pivot Table level and beyond with an ability to manipulate large data sets in order to analyse trends inherent within
Ability to work in a virtual team, with colleagues in the London office but also located in Cluj, Stockholm, Singapore, France and the USA
Excellent written, communication and presentation skills, most notably in English
Experience of US GAAP reporting would be desirable
