Tekni-Plex is currently driving a multi-year transformation to simplify, scale, and accelerate growth across our core markets in Fresh Foods Solutions. Sales Excellence plays a critical role in this journey—designing the systems, processes, and insights that enable our commercial teams to work smarter, collaborate better, and deliver sustained growth.
This internship will blend project management, analytics, process optimization, and enablement, giving you an opportunity to apply classroom theory & case studies to real-world challenges. You won’t simply write the plan for improvements; you will also help drive the change. This is a strategic, high-impact experience for an MBA student who wants to apply analytical thinking and process improvement skills in a commercial setting.
What You’ll Work On
In this role you will work alongside teams in Sales, Marketing, Operations, and IT to support critical initiatives. You will gain exposure to enterprise-level transformation, sales strategy & execution, and cross-functional collaboration, while directly contributing to the following:
- Process Improvement & Best Practices:
Map current sales and enablement workflows, identify inefficiencies, and introduce simplified “one best way” processes that improve collaboration & productivity across remote teams - Digital Tools, Resources & Enablement:
Audit and rationalize existing sales tools, templates, and resources into a unified Sales Resource Hub for efficiency and usability. - Sales Analytics & KPI Dashboards:
Collaborate with our IT business partners to enhance dashboards and reporting tools, + deliver insights into sales performance and metrics - Onboarding & Learning Programs:
Help design and implement structured onboarding programs and self-service resources for sales teams.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We’re looking for an MBA candidate energized by data, process, and people. Someone who is equally comfortable diving into a spreadsheet as they are interviewing stakeholders or presenting to a virtual team. Excellence teams are made up of multi-faceted “unicorns”-- analytical yet people-centered, structured yet creative, process-focused yet open to iteration. Job Requirements:
- Current MBA student, Kelley School of Business preferred, Spanish-speaking a plus
- Customer-oriented, eager to understand current experiences, what works well, and where opportunities exist
- Previous experience creating systems/tools for collaboration, ability to design templates, presentations or customer-facing content is a plus
- Comfortable navigating platforms like SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, AirTable or SmartSheet
- Communicates clearly and works collaboratively across teams, adapting their style to different priorities and personalities
Examples of specific projects you might lead:
- Lead-to-Quote Process Improvement: Map and streamline current workflows, identify handoff gaps, and recommend a simplified, integrated process.
- Commercial Onboarding & Learning Program: Develop topics, content, and training materials in partnership with Sales Excellence and Training teams.
- Sales Process Governance & Standardization: Build playbooks that outline process, standard steps, actions or scripts. Develop sales resources and tools that support consistent messaging and execution across the sales cycle.
- Product Messaging & Enablement Tools: Partner with Marketing to create standardized product messaging, onboarding materials, and customer-facing education resources for the Tekni-Plex portfolio
