Job Description

We are looking for a talented individual…​

to join our team as a Commercial Energy Advisor! In this customer-facing role, you will install energy efficiency measures for industrial, small business, and commercial customers across Illinois. You will work directly with business owners and operators to install energy-efficient equipment, conduct energy audits and re-audits, perform pre- and post-installation verifications, and gather technical data within a defined territory.

This is a field role with the expectation of customer site visits. The successful candidate will reside in Wheaton IL or nearby areas.

You’re a great fit if you can… ​​

• Conduct energy audits on small to mid-sized commercial buildings.

• Document inspection results, customer interactions, and contractor communications to meet program requirements.

• Provide status updates and input to program staff as needed.

• Troubleshoot technical issues in alignment with client specifications.

• Serve as the on-site representative for the company, promoting program participation and addressing customer concerns.

• Travel within a defined territory (company vehicle provided).

• Use basic hand and power tools as required.

• Perform physical tasks, including frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs, and standing or walking for extended periods.

Exciting candidates will have…​​

• High school diploma or GED required.

• 1+ years of experience in the construction industry is an asset.

• Knowledge of HVAC systems preferred.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.
