What you’ll be doing:

🟢 Develop and deliver the Alliance's commercial strategy, ensuring commercial performance consistently exceeds expectations.

🟢 Lead the commercial, estimating and contract management functions, building a high performing, collaborative and values led team.

🟢 Provide strategic commercial advice to the Executive Leadership Team and Board, supporting key business decisions.

🟢 Establish robust commercial governance, assurance and reporting frameworks.

🟢 Lead contract management across complex NEC based programmes, ensuring effective management of risk, change, claims and contractual obligations.

🟢 Drive commercial performance through effective cost management, forecasting, value engineering and financial controls.

🟢 Build exceptional relationships with Anglian Water, Alliance partners and the wider supply chain to deliver better outcomes together.

🟢 Lead the development of resilient, sustainable and high performing supply chain strategies.

🟢 Champion innovation, digital commercial practices and continuous improvement across the commercial function.

🟢 Foster an inclusive culture where people can thrive, develop and perform at their best.

What you’ll bring:

✅ Significant senior commercial leadership experience delivering major infrastructure programmes valued at hundreds of millions of pounds or more.

✅ A proven track record of leading commercial strategy within complex engineering, utilities, infrastructure or construction environments.

✅ Extensive experience of NEC contracts and commercial management across large capital programmes.

✅ Strong knowledge of procurement, contract administration, commercial governance and risk management.

✅ Experience operating within regulated environments and delivering successful commercial outcomes through collaborative delivery models.

✅ Outstanding stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at Executive, Board and partner level.

✅ A degree (or equivalent experience) in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Finance, Engineering or a related discipline.

✅ Professional membership with a recognised institution such as RICS, CIOB or CICES (or equivalent).
