Job Description

Banks, Fintechs and large enterprises use Wise Platform to build crossborder money movement solutions including Morgan Stanley, Standard Chartered, Agoda,  Mandiri, Mox by Standard Chartered, and others. Today we have 100+ global banks and platforms connected and powered by Wise Platform. We’re looking for a sales leader with a track record of experience working with Financial institutions and large platforms across South Asia markets;  and successfully commercialising payment solutions

A bit about the role:

The role is based in our Singapore office, but you will also work closely with the Regional APAC and Global Wise Platform teams based in our offices around the world. You will work closely with other functions, including product management, compliance & legal, implementation and engineering. As the Business Development Director, you will be responsible for closing new revenue in the region and growing a high-performing team.

Your mission: 

  • Work with the Wise Platform team to build, close and grow a strong pipeline of financial institutions and enterprises across our target verticals in South Asia, driving revenue and volume growth for Wise.

  • Be the South Asia business counterpart for product teams to prioritise roadmaps to unlock high impact deals in South Asia.

  • Hire, grow and lead the South Asia business development team.

  • Work on projects and initiatives to improve our sales processes and approaches both within the APAC region and globally go to market efforts - or anything else that helps drive growth.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to build and scale a repeatable sales process including marketing, compliance and servicing teams.

Qualifications

A bit about you

  • You’ve sold cross-border payment solutions into banks or large enterprises; from sourcing to go-live with demonstrable examples

  • You’ve held commercial targets in past sales roles

  • You have a track record of building, leading, and managing high-performing sales teams to meet commercial targets

  • You’re comfortable across different sales stages and can independently source deals to create a healthy sales pipeline

  • You’re comfortable technically, helping clients solve across regulatory, compliance and fund-flow requirements

  • You are capable of independently leading high-stakes client negotiations while providing strategic deal-support to the broader business development team, with ability to unblock deals by working with internal teams

  • You’re collaborative - and have worked across functional teams to unlock new verticals, new use-cases and new revenue opportunities

  • You’re analytical - data driven on where the team should be spending time and on scoping, sizing, prioritising and driving opportunities

  • You are mission-driven and customer-focused - looking for synergistic partnerships that will benefit the customer and contribute to the Wise Mission

Compensation: Base of SGD 21350 onwards + RSUs

Skills Required

  • Experience selling cross-border payment solutions to banks or large enterprises, from sourcing through go-live, with demonstrable results
