Purpose Statement
Boston Scientific is looking for a Commercial Digital Data Analyst (Digital Technology Strategy) to turn governed data into actionable insights for Sales, Marketing, and Finance across Southeast Asia. Using Salesforce, SAP, and the JARVIS Data Hub (AWS), you will build clear Power BI/Tableau dashboards and decision narratives that improve pipeline health, conversion, pricing/margin realization, tender performance, and territory coverage. Partnering with country teams and Sales Ops, you’ll translate business questions into metrics and recommendations, enabling faster, smarter, and compliant decisions in service of our patients and customers.
You will support all Digital Technology Service stakeholders to standardize commercial KPIs, and scale self-serve analytics for monthly and quarterly business reviews. Drawing on medical-device best practices, you will analyze HCP/HCO engagement, field activity quality, tender/contract and price realization, distributor/sell-out, and omnichannel signals within privacy and promotional compliance guardrails. You will consume governed datasets / APIs from central data teams and raise/track data-quality issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Analytics & Insight
- Build and maintain Power BI/Tableau dashboards for pipeline, conversion, activity quality (SFE), coverage/territory, product mix, pricing & margin, and tender/contract performance.
- Produce MBR/QBR packs with executive-ready narratives, clear drivers, and recommended actions; quantify impact.
- Blend omnichannel and field data to link engagement to commercial outcomes.
Data Preparation & Modeling
- Query/model data from Salesforce, SAP, and Digital Commercial Ecosystem (AWS); assemble reusable, well-documented datasets in partnership with central data/governance teams (privacy, access, lineage respected).
- Combine commercial data with distributor sell-out, tender/contract, and rebate/accruals where available for a holistic view.
Performance Measurement & Experimentation
- Track SFE and commercial KPIs; support experiments to optimize channel mix, discount strategy, and activity cadence.
- Contribute to OKR reporting; surface risks/opportunities to country leadership.
Stakeholder Engagement & Enablement
- Work with Sales Ops/SFE, Country Commercial leaders, Marketing, and Finance/FP&A across ASEAN; run short enablement sessions and office hours to grow data literacy and self-serve usage.
- Manage a light intake/prioritization process to focus on highest-value asks.
Data Quality & Compliance
- Monitor Data Quality signals, maintain an issue log with remediation Service Level Agreements, and ensure analytics follow privacy (e.g., PDPA/GDPR) and internal policy requirements.
- Maintain audit-ready traceability for key dashboards (source, logic, refresh cadence).
Job Requirements:
- Require minimum 3+ years in data governance, stewardship, data management, or analytics roles.
- Working knowledge of SQL; experience with AWS Data Hub, Salesforce, SAP, and Power BI/Tableau (or equivalents).
- Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into data standards and insight products, with strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of privacy and compliance framework (e.g., GDPR, PDPA) and process controls/SOPs.
- Comfortable operating across multi-country APAC teams in a matrixed environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in commercial analytics, Sales Operations, or Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE).
- Running data quality programs (scorecards, ownership models) and self-service BI enablement.
- Exposure to data product lifecycle, DevOps/CI concepts, and catalog/lineage tools.
