The Commercial Contracts Analyst is responsible for providing pricing & deal structuring, and contracts support to the Commercial Sales Team at Cepheid. The individual will work with Sales, Business Operations, and cross-functional stakeholders to provide deal and contracting expertise in negotiating a variety of contracts.

This position reports to the Sr Manager, Commercial Contracts and is part of the Commercial Contracts Team and will be fully US remote. 

This role supports East Coast teams and is ideally based in the Eastern Time Zone, with availability to work standard business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Structure contracting deals and draft, redline, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements (e.g., master agreements, placement agreements, pricing agreements, distributor agreements, and amendments)
  • Provide pricing analysis and deal structuring support to ensure competitive and compliant commercial terms
  • Collaborating with Sales, Legal, Finance, Marketing, and Business Operations to resolve moderately complex contracting issues
  • Ensure contract terms comply with healthcare regulations and company policies
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process enhancements across contracting workflows

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of related work experience OR Master's Degree with 0-2 years of related work experience.
  • Experience in pricing analysis, deal structuring, contracts drafting and redlining, and negotiating various commercial contracts in the medical device or healthcare industry.
  • Knowledge of healthcare fraud and abuse laws, rules, regulations, regulatory guidance, and industry codes, including the federal Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, and HIPAA.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Contracting with Hospitals and Distributors in the US.
  • Salesforce.com, Contracting Lifecycle Management (CLM) and Price Quoting tools.
  • Process improvement methodologies such as Kaizen, Six Sigma, 5 Whys.

The annual salary range for this role is USD 80,000 to USD 91,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
