The Commercial Contract Analyst III/Sr. will consult and collaborate to craft, execute and support the ongoing management of structured commercial agreements, including PPAs, of varying complexity. This role plays a critical role in enabling deal execution and protecting company value across the full contract lifecycle.
Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Prepares and coordinates the creation, redlining, and execution of sophisticated agreements with an emphasis on negotiating terms that improve value and mitigate contractual exposure
- Leads communication with internal and external partners to collaborate on contract and document draft/redline/execution
- Contributes through identifying and leading continuous improvement initiatives, with an eye for tools, ideas, and process improvements to increase efficiencies within the group
- Assists the business to find adequate contract solutions for customers
- Crafts new contract templates and updates the existing templates on as as-needed basis; makes recommendations to our policies and guidelines for commercial contracts
- Collaborates with various partners with new business development opportunities and/or special projects
- Other duties as assigned
- Required: High school diploma or GED and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience managing agreements related to natural gas midstream and/or power operations, marketing, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in business, energy management, finance, accounting, or paralegal studies
- Strong, proactive organization skills
- Highly detail-oriented
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Prior experience with contract management systems (e.g. Cobblestone Contract Insight)
- Preferred: Strength in communicating with varying audiences
- Preferred: Ability to multitask and prioritize work, including coordinating with multiple internal partners
- Preferred: Strong project management skills to plan, organize, and track work efficiently
