JOB SUMMARY
Job Profile Summary
The Commercial Business Analyst will perform an advanced level of work related to all facets of ONEOK’s Natural Gas Gathering and Processing business, with responsibilities including: developing long-term natural gas volume forecasts, evaluating economic feasibility of potential capital projects, researching producer activity trends for the basins in which we operate, and various other recurring responsibilities to support the commercial business. An emphasis on collaboration, creativity and problem-solving skills is desired.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Analyze various business opportunities to assess profitability, returns and economics. Apply standardized financial metrics to evaluate profitability measurements, including return on invested capital, cost of capital and earnings impact
Evaluate financial models and summarize results that simulate gathering, processing, transportation and storage activities for the purpose of forecasting trends related to and including:
Pipeline extensions
Well connects
Gas processing/plant consolidations
Acquisitions
Plan and conduct systematic or end-to-end analysis, involving data gathering and validation, to provide recommendations for action concerning:
Financial forecasts
Price and decline curves
System optimization
Coordinate projects with management, attorneys, auditors, landowners, governmental agencies, traders, gas control reps and/or others
Education
Bachelor’s degree in finance, engineering, economics, information services, business administration, accounting or an equivalent combination of formal education and job-related knowledge or experience
Work Experience
Experience with developing, validating and maintaining data related to financial forecasts, models and statistics
Experience related to:
Energy industry economics
Financial risk management
Commodity marketing
Contract administration/analyses
Communication/interpersonal skills
