The role
Supporting the CIP investment team, the Commercial Associate will contribute to the development, structuring and execution of investments in greenfield renewable energy infrastructure projects in the fast-growing economies across Southeast Asia where CIP sees scale, growth, and liquidity. You will work closely with a highly experienced team in a truly global environment.
Responsibilities will further consist of:
- Develop and manage financial models, reviewing economic and financial assumptions.
- Provide support in work-streams involved in investment due diligence, project development & financing, and divestment processes.
- Support negotiation of agreements and contracts.
- Conduct research on counterparties, markets, and assets.
- Collaborate with and manage external advisors and partners, including legal, financial, and technical experts, to execute investments.
- Develop analysis and high-quality presentations for internal decision makers and external stakeholders.
- Performing other tasks as assigned by the direct manager
The work is project-driven and encompasses all aspects of the infrastructure investment process, including sourcing and acquisition, financing, and exits.

You
- 3-6 years of work experience in M&A, financial advisory, project development, or infrastructure investments
- Bachelor's/Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or other
- Financial modelling skills with the ability to build complex, high-quality error-free financial models

- Proficient quantitative and analytical skills with keen attention to detail. Solid corporate finance knowledge, particularly in valuation and financial modelling.
- Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to work well in challenging situations and take on responsibility.
- Extensive experience with Excel and PowerPoint.
- A motivated mindset characterized by persistence, self-initiative, and a focus on producing outcomes.
