Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Analyst to join our specialist Cooling Technologies division.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to develop expertise in commercial management within a specialized technical services environment. You will be responsible for contract analysis, compliance consultancy, and financial performance optimization across the complete contract lifecycle - from initial bid through to project delivery and contract termination. This position provides comprehensive professional development support through our wider JLL commercial network and specifically through a nominated Commercial Support Business Partner.

Essential Requirements:

•      Strong contract and numerical analytical skills with demonstrable attention to detail in written analysis.

•         Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation capabilities.

•         Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel for financial modelling.

•         Understanding of commercial contract principles and risk management practices.

Highly Desirable:

•         JCT contract management experience and knowledge of construction industry standards.

•         Experience with project management software (MS Project or equivalent).

•         Contract drafting and legal documentation experience.

•         Previous exposure to refrigeration, HVAC, or cooling technologies sector.

•         Professional qualification or progression toward RICS, CIPS, or equivalent professional body.

•         BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying, Law, Engineering, or equivalent commercial experience in FM, M&E, refrigeration, HVAC, construction, or related technical service delivery sectors (minimum 5 years in similar role).

Career Development Opportunities:

This role provides a clear pathway for professional growth within our expanding organization. Successful candidates can progress to Account Management positions within the Cooling Technologies division or advance to Commercial Manager roles across our broader hard services portfolio. We support professional development through mentoring, training programs, and professional qualification sponsorship.

Cooling Tech is a relatively small specialist engineering division of approximately 100 staff.  The hierarchical structure is quite flat, so this is an opportunity for a ‘non-engineering’ specialist to interact with senior Division Managers to drive policy, change and best practice as an integrated part of the senior management team. You can make a real difference, and your professional voice will be sought out.
