You'll be a part of our Commercial Management Team based in either Sydney or Melbourne. You will work in a collaborative environment assisting and supporting the Head of Commercial Management and Commercial Managers. 
You'll work closely with many parts of the Firm, consulting directly with Partners and other stakeholders, and will be challenged, supported and guided as you continue to learn and develop during your career at Allens.  

 

As a Commercial Analyst you will:

  • Prepare variance analysis including commentary on performance and key performance indicators.

  • Conduct profitability analysis and provide insights to support future pricing strategies and operational improvements.

  • Assist Commercial Managers with budgeting and forecasting processes.

  • Support the preparation of business cases, Board reports, and Executive Committee presentations.

  • Deliver both regular and ad-hoc financial analysis for practice groups, offering insights into key business drivers.

  • Work towards establishing yourself as a trusted advisor to the firm and key stakeholders in both commercial and financial contexts.

  • Actively promoting change and innovation within the Firm, drawing upon a range of sources for potential solutions.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity. At Allens we have a hybrid working structure, typically 60% in the office and 40% from home. We would be happy to discuss any other flexible working arrangements that best support you.

About you
 

Skills / Experience

  • Relevant experience in a similar analytical role.

  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and financial modelling skills.

  • Strong financial, analytical and problem solving skills and experience in an analytical role would be preferable.

  • Strategic thinker with results driven attitude.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to navigate a complex stakeholder environment and build relationships.

  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a high performing team.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate qualification in Commerce / Business, or similar related field.

  • CPA / CA or equivalent qualifications.
