POSITION OVERVIEW
The Commercial Account Manager I works closely with Sales Directors and Program Management to develop and execute strategies for assigned customer accounts. The Commercial Account Manager I builds skills necessary to fully manage the analytical requirements of assigned accounts. This role also independently develops strategic capabilities such as direct customer negotiations.
This is an onsite position located in Zeeland, MI. It is not open to hybrid or remote work at this time.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Coordinate with Cost Analysts to develop accurate Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
Partner with the Commercial Director(s) to strategically develop cost breakdowns and match Gentex products and price targets to customer needs.
Plan and execute customer site visits and tours aligned with business priorities and defined objectives.
Develop price targets based on market conditions, Gentex margin targets, and customer targets.
Create alternative price and cost scenarios to optimize revenues.
Work with the Commercial Director(s) to prepare and update customer book of business projections for revenue, gross margin, and savings.
Develop and implement the best strategies for Annual Price Reduction including price volume curves, new business awards, and limited compounding impact.
Ensure pricing agreements are consistent with customer purchase contracts.
Ensure all aspects of customer accounts are accurate, including but not limited to amortization, pricing, tooling payments, and engineering payments.
Find opportunities to gain knowledge of customers, products, and marketplace, and use expertise to give the customer team a strategic advantage.

WHAT TO BRING
Bachelor's Degree with emphasis on Business, Finance or Engineering.
1+ years of cost and/or product experience.
Experience and desire to work with cross-functional teams.
Ability to analyze customer product and pricing history to develop strategies.
Willingness to travel 10%.
