Commerce Product Specialist 

Department: Genuine Parts / Digital Solutions 
Location: Milwaukee, WI 


Basic Function 

Support the development, launch, and ongoing growth of Cleaver-Brooks’ Genuine Parts digital commerce platform. This role will help coordinate internal stakeholders, support platform implementation activities, and ensure the commerce platform delivers a strong customer experience while supporting the operational needs of the Genuine Parts business. 

The Commerce Product Specialist will collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Engineering, IT, Distribution Center operations, and Customer Service to expand the reach and effectiveness of the digital commerce channel. The role will participate in platform development initiatives while also executing campaigns and analyzing performance to improve online engagement and sales. 


Essential Duties 

Commerce Platform Development & Implementation 

  • Support the planning, development, and launch of the company’s digital commerce platform. 
  • Participate in defining business requirements, user workflows, and functional capabilities that support the Genuine Parts commerce experience. 
  • Coordinate with internal teams including IT, Marketing, Engineering, Customer Service, Sales, and Distribution Center operations to ensure platform capabilities align with operational workflows. 
  • Assist in organizing project activities, tracking progress, and supporting communication between internal stakeholders and external implementation partners. 
  • Participate in system testing, validation, and user acceptance activities prior to platform release. 
  • Assist with documentation of workflows, processes, and platform capabilities to support internal adoption and training. 
  • Support platform launch activities including user onboarding and post-launch stabilization. 

Commerce Growth & Campaign Management 

  • Plan, execute, and maintain digital commerce campaigns designed to increase traffic, engagement, and online sales. 
  • Work closely with Sales teams to identify priority products and promotions to highlight in digital campaigns. 
  • Monitor and optimize advertising performance across digital channels. 
  • Conduct regular analysis of campaign performance including traffic, conversion rates, and return on advertising spend. 
  • Lead monthly campaign performance reviews with Sales and internal stakeholders to review results, share insights, and identify improvement opportunities. 
  • Continuously test and refine digital merchandising strategies to maximize commerce growth. 

Platform Optimization & Performance 

  • Analyze commerce platform performance including site traffic, customer engagement, and sales activity. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve product discoverability, navigation, and overall customer experience. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues impacting platform functionality or operational workflows. 
  • Work with Distribution Center teams to ensure digital commerce capabilities align with order fulfillment processes. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Engineering, IT, Distribution Center operations, and Customer Service to support digital commerce initiatives. 
  • Help ensure the commerce platform supports both customer and representative purchasing workflows. 
  • Participate in regular reviews with internal stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and support business growth. 

Industry & Technology Awareness 

  • Stay informed about emerging digital commerce technologies, tools, and best practices. 
  • Evaluate new capabilities and tools that may improve the company’s digital commerce platform.

Education 

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field is desired, or equivalent experience. 


Experience 

  • 3+ years of experience working with digital commerce platforms, online marketing, or digital product environments 
  • Experience executing digital campaigns and analyzing performance metrics 
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including IT, marketing, and operations 
  • Familiarity with ERP-integrated commerce systems preferred 
  • Industrial, aftermarket, or parts-based business experience is a plus 
  • Experience with enterprise eCommerce platforms such as Adobe Commerce (Magento) or similar platforms is strongly preferred 


Skills 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to translate business needs into actionable improvements 
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities 
  • Experience working with data, reporting tools, and spreadsheets 
  • Familiarity with digital advertising platforms and analytics tools 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications 

Physical Skill and Effort 
 
Work requires computer proficiency, moderate typing speed, and a high level of accuracy when working with data and digital systems. Work involves light and simple types of physical exertion. 
 
 
 
Working Conditions and Hazards
