Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $65,000.00 - $125,000.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

***This role is eligible for additional compensation through performance-based incentive plan(s) that will correspond to meeting performance goals.***

About This Job

The main purpose of this job is to develop, retain and expand client relationships by enhancing current distribution channels and developing new opportunities.  The position is responsible for prospecting and developing new leads and sales opportunities as wells as following up on leads generated through various referrals and marketing programs.

Essential Functions

  • Develop strategic alliances with third party broker/dealers, administrators, correspondent banks, as well as their home offices and other potential delivery channels to increase the exposure of Commerce Funds

  • Provide sales support for Commerce Investment Advisors, Commerce Trust Company (CTC), and Commerce Funds

  • Research new opportunities for distribution of the Commerce Funds

  • Provide wholesaling support to third party distribution channels

  • Assist in new product development

  • Manage customer service requests from existing relationships.

  • Ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, regulations, and laws

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values

  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook  

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required

  • 3+ years mutual funds wholesaling experience preferred

  • FINRA Series 6 and 63 required

  • FINRA Series 7 preferred

At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $65,000 to $125,000 annually. This position will be eligible for additional compensation through performance-based incentive plan(s) that will correspond to meeting performance goals.
