Roles and Responsibilities
- Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand combustor design requirements and identify gaps in existing modeling methods.
- Develop, implement and validate advanced computational models for combustion processes.
- Design, develop, and maintain software tools for CFD analysis (pre-processing, solver, post-processing).
- Drive effective integration of software into design workflows, in collaboration with design community. Support the development of technical documentation and training materials.
- Conduct research on emerging trends in computational combustion and advanced simulation techniques. Present findings and technical reports to internal teams and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Master’s with 3+ years of experience in Mechanical, Aerospace or related disciplines.
- In-depth understanding of physical process involved in at least one of the following areas: Computation Fluid Dynamics (CFD), aerodynamics, combustion, spray modeling.
- Proficiency in languages such as Python, C++ & related tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills, self-learning abilities and shown track record of technical excellence
- Ability to work in a cross-functional environment with strong communication and presentation skills
- Be flexible and adapt to work on critical priorities as per business need.
Desired Characteristics
- Well established track record of model development in the field of combustion & spray.
- Exposure to higher order computational combustion codes (pre-processing, solver & post-processing).
- Exposure to GPU programming & code optimization techniques
- Experience of using machine learning methods
- Ability to collaborate and co-ordinate tasks involving global team members
- Hands on experience in using commercial CFD codes.
