The Color Advisor Manager is responsible for assisting the Regional Color Advisor Manager (RCAM) in supervising in-store Professional Color Advisors, ensuring that all color consultation services provide exceptional value to our clients. Color Advisor Managers are also responsible for execution of regional activities related to public relations and producing effective marketing programs, growing retail business, and growing various color consultation key metrics.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads and motivates the in-store Professional Color Advisors to ensure the achievement of business goals in customer service, satisfaction, and loyalty
  • Ensures the proper merchandising and appearance of the Professional Color Advisor space, utilizing tools such as audits and coaching through store touring
  • Promotes a positive shopping experience, ensures efficiency, timeliness, and high-quality consultation services
    • Ensures Professional Color Advisors provide high levels of customer satisfaction and takes action to improve customer service levels where appropriate
    • Solicits feedback to better understand customer needs and that of the local community
  • Fosters proactive communication with multi-departmental company personnel
  • Works effectively with sales management to achieve outstanding service to both internal and external customers
  • Recruits, interviews, selects and hires Professional Color Advisors in conjunction with Regional Color Advisor Manager and Store Operations management
  • In partnership with store management, manages, trains and evaluates Professional Color Advisors
  • In partnership with Regional Color Advisor Manager, supervises, trains and evaluates In-Home Color Advisors
  • Ensures compliance with all safety rules, regulations and procedures
  • Utilizes management information tools and analyzes key metrics; addresses trends and takes immediate corrective action when necessary
  • Manages and promotes integrity and honesty in all interactions with employees, customers, and the community
  • Ability to legally drive own vehicle to assigned business units and various meetings and events

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

There may be 1-20 non-management team members reporting to the Color Advisor Manager.

 

LANGUAGE/COMMUNICATION REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English is required
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have ability to read and interpret professional publications
  • Must have the ability to write routine business reports and correspondence efficiently
  • Must have ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
    from individuals and groups    
  • Bilingual is a plus

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or a minimum of 2 years in management/leadership and customer service experience.
  • A background in Interior Design is preferred. Public Relations or Marketing/Sales experience is a plus

 

REASONING ABILITY: 

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REQUIREMENTS:

 Valid driver’s license is required.
