Job Description:
Datasite is building a new Data Management (DM) team using state-of-the-art tools and solutions. We are currently working to stand up our tool – Collibra. This will enable our company to manage its data as an asset and handle the complex data requirements as efficiently as possible. We are currently working on the Metadata functions in Collibra. Our next phase of the DM effort will be to use Collibra’s Data Quality (DQ) functionality. Both the Metadata and DQ disciplines are integrated with the Data Governance efforts underway.
Our Data Management goal is to create an intuitive environment that will allow ease of use. We are looking for an experienced Collibra Architect/Administrator that can help us move forward as rapidly and successfully as possible. This team has many exciting opportunities to partner with people throughout the global organization on new technology, efforts and innovations.
The immediate need for this role is to focus on Collibra Architecture and Administration. The role will prioritize Metadata and DQ initiatives. A direct relationship will be built with business users and also our IT support teams. The role will focus on optimizing our use of Collibra.
Requirements:
- This role will be responsible for Collibra Architecture and Administration.
- This person must have experience working in a Data Management environment with a strong understanding of Data Governance as well as Metadata and DQ
- Mentoring others on the correct usage of Collibra, the Metamodel and Architecture.
- The role will prioritize Metadata and Data Quality (DQ) initiatives
- A direct relationship will be built with business users and also our IT support teams
- The role will focus on optimizing our use of Collibra for both Metadata and DQ
- This person must have experience working in a Data Management environment with a strong understanding of Data Governance as well as Metadata and DQ.
Work will include:
Metadata:
- Partner to build internal training materials for the Enterprise
- Partner to communicate with the different levels of Data Governance (Steering Comittee, Stewards, etc.)
- Help establish a corporate-wide communication tool
- Create automation whenever possible
- Partner to create Metadata metrics for Governance, Leadership and the Enterprise
- Creation of custom catalog views at community and domain level
- Creation of custom diagram views
- Guidance on community/domain structure
- Familiarity with operating model, asset types and proven skill in designing metamodel changes
- Adaptation of business use cases into operating model changes, while keeping impacts to all customers in mind
- Familiarity with Global and Resource-level permissions and how they operate in Collibra
- Ability to create custom metadata import templates
- Ability to customize dashboards
- Familiarity with console settings
- Ability to recommend other features for Collibra and partnering tools
- Familiarity with simple and complex asset relationships
- Understanding of how scopes work and how they can be utilized in the catalog
- Ability to set up new data source connections using Collibra Connectors
- Ability to create advanced filters/search queries to answer business questions
Data Quality:
- Ensure we are identifying/labeling sensitive data and flagging them in Metadata. This will include partnership with the legal department and business areas.
- Build DQ rules templates/processes/best practices
- Help identify complex DQ issues and build appropriate rules
- Automation of DQ when possible
- Build communications for DQ outcomes
- Work with business to establish appropriate thresholds for DQ rules
- Build DQ resolution best practices/standards
- Ensure all DQ work is documented in Metadata
- Ensure DQ results are presented in Metadata
- Partner to create DQ metrics for Governance, Leadership and the Enterprise
- Technical Lineage Harvester
- Metadata completeness tracking
- Creating validation rules to ensure metadata is complete (e.g., Definition field does not equal tableName)

To be successful in this role you must be a leader, quick learner, very familiar with agile practices and software development, and enjoy working in cross functional teams. Our Ideal Candidate will have:
- A passion for Data Management disciplines
- Education that supports a technical career
- 6+ years of relevant experience
- Subject matter expert in Collibra
- Collibra Ranger Certification Preferred
- Familiar with Jira
- Experience working in agile environments
- Experience in cloud environments
- Strong communication skills
The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, each candidate’s compensation offer may vary and will be determined based on but not limited to, your geographic region, skills, qualifications, and experience along with the requirements of the position. Datasite reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
Salary Range - $103,050 - $179,700
