ResponsibilitiesWhat You’ll Do
- Manage assigned accounts and work queues with accuracy and efficiency
- Review claims for correct pricing and initiate timely appeals for underpayments
- Communicate with payors and patients to resolve billing, coding, and payment discrepancies
- Interpret EOBs/ERAs and ensure payments align with contract terms
- Document all actions in Epic or Athena and maintain high productivity and quality standards
- Support special rates, discounts, and other account adjustments as needed
- Collaborate across the Revenue Cycle to ensure smooth, compliant workflows
What You Bring
- Experience with Epic or Athena billing systems
- Strong understanding of managed care contracts, payor requirements, and the full revenue cycle
- Knowledge of UB‑04 and HCFA 1500 billing forms
- Familiarity with commercial, government, and exchange payors (Medicare, Medi‑Cal, TriCare, HMO/PPO/EPO, etc.)
- Ability to independently research and resolve complex issues
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of professional billing/collections experience and strong customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
