We're growing our U.S. team and looking for a Collections Specialist to help us manage our accounts receivable.
What you'll do :
Cash collection activities:
- Reach out to clients with overdue invoices, update the accounting comments and create Salesforce activities
- Reach out to new clients at a predeterminate rate and follow the process in place
- Reach out to the biggest balances and partners with overdue invoices before they reach 14 days of delay
- Analyze and handle payment disputes up to disconnections
- Communicate to the accounting payment notifications
- Reach out to clients to help accounting reconcile the payments to the invoices
- Participate in cash collections meetings by establishing a list of clients with unpaid invoices to discuss
- Submit bad debt to collection agencies and follow up with collection agencies
- Inform the Accounting team of the bad debt that must be recorded as lost
- Review AR aging schedule, estimate part of customers' bad debt balances that is eligible to provision, and indicate context
Internal and external requests:
- Perform customers and Sales team cases related to cash collections
Various administrative tasks:
- Answer inbound calls from accounting phone line
What you'll need
- Previous experience in collections activities.
- Solution‑oriented
- Salesforce experience
- Strong customer focus
- Good communication skills
Speaking French is a big asset for this role.
