A Typical Day
The Collateral Due Diligence Specialist will manage the review of the collateral files (note, mortgage, related riders and addendums, assignments, title insurance policy, etc.) for loans purchased by PennyMac to ensure the enforceability of the loans and accuracy of the note data.
The Collateral Due Diligence Specialist will:

• Be responsible for the collateral review process when purchasing loans
• Assist in the clearing or curing of collateral issues on purchased loans
• Assist in managing the relationships with custodians DB and BNYM
• Coordinate reviews of note data with JCIII
• Manage the custody of collateral files at DB and BNYM and the release of collateral
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned
• Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values

What You'll Bring

• Familiarity with the collateral documents and review procedures to ensure enforceability of the loans and accuracy of note data
• Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word
• Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred

Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:

• Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role
• Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role
• Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role

Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.
