This is a remote position.
Role Summary
The Collaboration & IT Solutions Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and supporting communication systems for SamaWave and its clients. This includes unified communications, video conferencing, and collaboration tools for Cisco, Avaya, GrandStream and any other potential voice system, ensuring seamless connectivity, security, and performance across all environments in addition to other IT solutions offered by SamaWave Solutions.
This role requires a mix of technical expertise, project management skills, and customer service excellence, with the ability to translate business needs into effective IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Collaboration & Unified Communication
- Design, deploy, manage, and troubleshoot VoIP and IP telephony systems (Cisco, Avaya, MS Teams, GrandStream, and similar).
- Integrate collaboration systems with Active Directory and identity management platforms.
- Maintain service uptime and performance for unified communication platforms.
Systems Integration & Support
- Work closely with other teams to ensure seamless system and application integration.
- Participate in IT infrastructure projects, from planning to post-deployment support.
- Provide Level 2/3 technical support for communication-related incidents.
- Analyze system logs, network data, and performance metrics to proactively prevent issues.
- Maintain detailed documentation including network diagrams, configurations, and inventories.
Project Management & Client Engagement
- Assist in developing technical proposals and network design documents for clients.
- Lead or support client implementation projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Conduct remote site surveys, feasibility assessments, and capacity planning.
- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams throughout project lifecycle.
- Provide training and technical handover sessions to clients and end-users.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies in networking, collaboration, and cloud integration.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or Information Technology.
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Collaboration systems implementation, deployment , management.
- Practical knowledge of Cisco Collaboration Systems, Avaya, 3CX, GrandStream, MS Teams, and others.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, QoS.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP voice or CCIE Collaboration is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Plus skills:
- Provide implementation and support for Cisco cloud networking product (Meraki).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and ensure compliance with security best practices.
- Support cloud networking integrations for Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments.
- Configure and support Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, and Office 365 collaboration tools.

Skills Required
