Cold Room Supervisor

The Role 

We are seeking a reliable and proactive team member to join as a supervisor. The supervisor will assume supervisory responsibilities and oversee warehouse operations to uphold efficiency, safety and performance standards while supporting the team and maintaining workflow. 

Key responsibilities include: 

• Supervising the team to delegate tasks and solve operational and quality issues 

• Addressing day-to-day issues on the warehouse floor and escalating when needed 

• Planning the collation of equipment for delivery well in advance and working closely with the project management team in head office to meet operational requirements 

• Reporting any incidents, delays, or operational concerns to management in a timely manner 

• Highlighting areas of continuous improvement to enhance operational efficiency  

• Following and promoting health and safety procedures to ensure the welfare of yourself and those around you 

• Scanning and logging incoming deliveries to maintain stock accuracy 

• Assisting with unloading vehicles and returning equipment to cold room bay 

• Encouraging and enforcing cleanliness to ensure safe working conditions 

• Focusing on corrective actions to make sure equipment meet required specifications 

• Creating proper QC checklists to ensure the equipment flows through the QC process correctly 

• Checking and confirming all goods meet Lowe’s quality standards and checklist is completed by QC team 

• Ensuring the safe and effective use of warehouse storage space 

• Ensuring effective internal and external communication 

• Maintaining effective relationship with Ops team 

• Supporting wider warehouse team when required 

Skills & Experience

Essential  

• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, processes, and safety protocols 

• Demonstrated leadership ability or previous acting-in-charge experience 

• Proven experience of assisting with organisational efficiencies and operations 

• Solution focused mindset and resilient in problem solving 

• Strong work ethic 

• Strong communication and organisational skills 

• Self-motivated and proactive 

• Working level of English  

• Must be able to bend, stoop, walk and stand for prolonged periods of time 

• Must be able to climb and work from ladders and in confined spaces safely 

• Must be able to move and lift heavy equipment
