Salary Range:

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain one or more functional safety work products such as Safety Plan, Safety Case report, adhering to established methodologies
- Drive safety analysis activities within the team and develop associated work products such as FMEA, FMEDA and DFA
- Develop and deploy continual improvement initiatives to ensure functional safety practices are effective and efficient
- Work with the product manager on establishing functional safety requirements for the product
- Assist the project manager on functional safety activity planning, resource estimation and safety training
- Assist the safety lead during functional safety assessments
Education
- BS in Electrical or Computer engineering or equivalent and 7+ years' experience in VLSI hardware design, or
- MS in Electrical or Computer engineering and 5+ years' experience in VLSI hardware design
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in hardware design and development, HDL languages, i.e. Verilog, VHDL and programming languages, i.e. C, C++, Perl, Python
- Knowledge of hardware failure modes and safety mechanisms
- Knowledge and/or application of one or more Safety Analysis methodologies: FMEA, FMEDA, DFA
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
"Nice To Have" Skills and Experience:
- Experience working on functional safety-related development projects applying industry recognized standards, e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 61508
- Exposure to projects developing safety critical automotive and industrial solutions for AD, ADAS, IVI, Digital Cockpit, Robotics
- Experience with authoring and reviewing technical documentation
- Experience with fault simulation and analysis

Skills Required

- Experience with Lint, synthesis, static timing analysis, and DFT
- Understanding of physical design and verification methods
- Experience with scripting languages (Perl, Ruby) and competence with Unix/Linux, shells, and Makefiles
