Job Description:
As we work to transform and optimise Mars, a new program has been mobilised by the Mars leadership team. The program is focused on the design and implementation of SAP S/4HANA in Mars across Segments (Petcare, Corporate, Snacking & Food) with an initial focus on our Royal Canin Division. Much more than a simple “Lift and Shift,” this program will undertake a major process simplification and harmonisation scope as we digitally transform our business.
The program focuses on several key process areas including Finance, Source to Pay (procurement and vendor mgmt.), Plan to Fulfil (manufacturing and distribution), Lead to Cash (sales order processing and payment) as well as Quality & Food Safety. This transformation requires thought leadership, quality decision making, deep technical know-how, and an ability to navigate complex business challenges.
The CoE SAP H&R Senior Tech Analyst will report to the CoE Q&FS H&R Programme Lead
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Business Analyst to support the delivery of high-impact digital solutions within our Quality and Food Safety domain. In this role, you will help design, test, and coordinate technical tools that ensure consumer safety, manage Hold & Release, and secure product Traceability from raw materials to the shelf.
Operating within our modern cloud ecosystem—built on SAP BTP (including CAP applications), HANA DB, SAP Datasphere, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)—you will help translate functional quality requirements into technical agile stories, coordinate testing across applications and data pipelines, and keep project teams aligned through disciplined coordination and presentation.

- Test Data Coordination: Coordinate and prepare realistic test data (e.g., sample batch numbers, mock quality incidents, release certificates) across SAP environments to support active testing cycles.
- Testing Status Tracking: Pull together basic testing readiness reports and track defect statuses during integration and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Facilitate smooth communication between technical developers, data engineers, and regional Quality/Food Safety partners
- Champion high standards of knowledge management to secure the long-term value of SAP solutions, including documentation, training, and best practice sharing.
- Support robust testing and validation plans for the Hold & Release and Traceability solutions, ensuring all business, regulatory, and technical requirements are met prior to deployment, including oversight of test script development and execution.
- Represent the CoE Q&FS template during deployments, including pilot deployments which will need more template team involvement
- Partner with deployment teams and division BPOs to execute Fit to template reviews and UAT.
- Provide template guidance to deployment analysts with the aim of maximum standardization
- When potential template gaps are identified, conduct detailed analysis together with the deployment team and BPOs. Recommend options from within the standard template, where possible influence to change local processes instead of changing the template.
Context and Scope
- Develops deep knowledge of the core QFS (SAP QM) template
- Work with a high level of autonomy, through general direction
- Uses techniques like “5 Whys” to fully explore potential gaps
- Consults with the CoE functional leads, architect and integration lead as needed
- Highly collaborative with CoE and Deployment teams (both associates and their SI partners)
- Works closely with division Business Process Owners
- Escalates gaps only after appropriate level of analysis
