Cobol Programmer

Our technical team is on the lookout for new colleagues to join them in the quest of providing an efficient bridge between business needs and technical solutions, delivering software features that adds value to our customers. In this position, you are part of a team that will handle several projects and applications for the entire lifecycle.

Job responsibilities:

• Performs the application programming based on the previously drafted technical specification or based on the business review performed by the business analyst;
• Drafts the technical description documentation ( unless previously performed);
• Provides estimations for future implementations;
• Executes unit tests/local tests for own implementations;
• Performs code review for peers;
• Identifies changing solutions and operates such changes in the technical specification;
• Changes and supplements the testing plan drafted by the System Tester in order to add new testing stages or circumstances;
• Drafts the application production launching documentation;
• Promotes the application during each implementation level (IT, Business testing);
• Provides the support required during the testing process by the implementation team members and colleagues from involved departments;
• Provides support regarding the use of promoted applications in production in case the notified problems cannot be solved by the support team.

Job requirements:

• Experience in AS400, Cobol, Life400 preferred;
• Databases experience needed (DB2, SQL);
• Experience in full SDLC required: user requirements gathering, application/ system analysis and design, development and deployment;
• Experience in an agile way of working;
• Responsible attitude and ambition in achieving your mission;
• Good verbal and written communication in English language
• Innovative problem-solving skills, curious, autonomous and really keen to develop his tech skills.

The monthly salary range for the Cobol Programmer role is between 15.400 - 26.400 lei gross. The salary range showcased is only indicative. The final benefits package will be agreed upon during final negotiations with each candidate, by considering different criteria, such as the experience and skills level. Therefore, the finally agreed salary will stay confidential, as per the applicable law and we reserve the right to apply adjustments to the offer at any time during the hiring process.
