We are hiring a COBOL Developer to work on a pivotal Federal program that is making a positive impact on millions of Americans' daily lives.

What you'll be doing:

Working closely with our engineering and product development teams by facilitating positive inbound and outbound communications with our customers along with related technical support activities. You will work on a variety of items such as incoming customer requests for information or assistance, outgoing communication to prospective customers to offer insight and education about our platform and technical tasks to configure setup for customers.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience with mainframe programming in COBOL
• A wide understanding of developing, designing, coding, and testing changes to enterprise software applications
• In-depth understanding of project management and software development cycle
• Vast knowledge of business processes, with experience in healthcare a major plus
• Familiarity with Scaled Agile methodology
• Databases experience: VSAM
• Platforms/Systems: Windows, IBM Mainframe, UNIX
• Experience in documenting systems and programs enhanced, developed and implemented
• Tools: ISPF, ENDEVOR, IBM Debugger, and JES2
• Productivity Software: Google Suite products, Confluence, and JIRA
• Defining coding standards to ensure code integrity
• Java, REXX/CLIST, IDz, IWS, and/or GitHub a plus but not required

Requirements:

• Must be a US Citizen and able to work domestically 
• Must be able to attain low-level security clearance

• Bachelor’s Degree

Compensation:

At Oddball, it’s important each employee is compensated competitively and fairly. In alignment with state legal requirements. A range for the included position is listed below. Be advised, actual offer details are determined by job category, job location, and candidate skill level.

United States Wage Range: $100,000 – $140,000
