Shape the coast, shape your future, join us for a hands-on coastal engineering internship! Spend Summer 2027 in Jacksonville, FL, working at the intersection of land and sea. As a Coastal Engineering Intern, you’ll collaborate with seasoned engineers to safeguard shorelines and enhance waterfront infrastructure. This is your opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to projects that protect communities, preserve ecosystems, and support navigation along our nation’s waterways.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work directly with team members on various project deliverables in the coastal engineering field
- Manage beach profile data and conduct beach volume change analyses
- Perform industry-standard coastal engineering analyses
- Contribute to construction plans and technical specifications
- Observe construction operations and evaluate site conditions
- Assist with data management and report preparation
- Assemble data and documentation to support state and federal permit applications
Required Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Bachelor’s in Coastal Engineering or Master’s in Coastal Engineering
- Enrolled in or completed at least one coastal engineering course
- GPA of 3.0 or greater
