The Role
The Coalitions Associate will work closely with the Coalitions Director to support and lead comprehensive outreach and engagement strategy to engage, and mobilize key stakeholders and communities in support of the Democratic National Committee’s (DNC) mission to win elections and build Democratic power. The Coalitions Associate will work closely with the Coalitions Director and team, DNC staff, and DNC Caucuses and Councils, to ensure the integration of these efforts.

Responsibilities
- Track and report out on incoming correspondence from DNC Caucus and Council chairs and members;
- Manage communication and engagement with DNC Caucus and Councils;
- Collaborate with DNC staff on event planning and execution;
- Work to increase the effectiveness and visibility of the DNC’s coalitions engagement strategies and programs; and
- Other duties as assigned by the National Coalitions Director to support the department and the DNC's mission.
Requirements
- Ideal candidate will be a team player, fast learner, and self-starter; you are willing to work hard to get the job done;
- You should be organized, able to stay on top of multiple tasks at once;
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and writing skills;
- Experience as an organizer, intern, or volunteer on a Democratic campaign;
- Experience in leadership development, with experience and/or interest in electoral campaign management, staff management, racial justice and/or social equity work;
- Proven track record in building relationships with and managing diverse stakeholders, reaching consensus and action; and
- Ability to represent the DNC with judgment.
