Reporting to the Co-Manufacturing Planning Manager, the Co-Manufacturing Production Planner (Contractor) will play a key role in our company growth. Duties will include creating weekly production schedules, initiating and monitoring work orders with co-manufacturer, and working collaboratively with cross-functional partners. 

Duration: March 9, 2026 – September 4, 2026 (with potential extension)

Location: Emeryville, CA – Hybrid, 3 days onsite 

Schedule: Full-Time

Hourly: $53/hr. 

What You Will Do 

  • Schedule production for make to stock perishable products in a capacity constrained environment based on weekly production volume requirements set by Master planning 

  • Develop and maintain weekly production plan with Co-Manufacturer to achieve target inventory and service levels 

  • Create and communicate workorders and batches of finished goods at co-manufacturing sites. 

  • Support current inventory and business process flows to improve inventory visibility and reporting accuracy. 

  • Coordinate with green coffee planner to ensure green coffee blend work orders are timely created. 

  • Partner with co-manufacturers to accurately reconcile work orders with right quantity, batch numbers and purchase orders at co-manufacturing sites. 

  • Utilize the ERP system to streamline and correctly reflect expected delivery dates and quantities 

  • Update and maintain planning parameters within MRP system to accurately reflect component requirement dates 

  • Analyze and highlight the overall schedule impact of any variance / change order  

  • Track actual versus planned production. (Production Attainment) 

  • Understand root cause(s) of failures and initiate actions required to ensure smooth/uninterrupted operations. 

  • Support Co-Manufacturing Planning Manager in S&OE processes. 

 

Who You Are 

  • 2+ years of Planning and Scheduling experience 

  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented; able to work effectively under pressure with high-energy, and proactive style; brings well developed sense of urgency to all work. Must also be quality-minded, analytical and results oriented. 

  • Understanding of BOM’s/Formulas and related concepts such as Formula versions and yields 

  • Experience with Microsoft D365 preferred 

  • Familiarity with supply chain processes and concepts including inventory management, sales and operations execution (S&OE). 

  • A great communicator, both written and verbal, with internal and external stakeholders 

  • Ability to work independently as well as be a team player 

  • Proven innovative and critical thinking abilities 

  • MS office skills  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related field

Skills Required

  • 2+ years of planning and scheduling experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field
  • Understanding of BOMs/Formulas, formula versions, and yields
  • Familiarity with supply chain processes including inventory management and S&OE
  • Experience with Microsoft D365
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Experience using ERP and MRP systems to manage orders and planning parameters
