The Role
Drive the evolution of a scalable client onboarding and documentation platform. Responsibilities include roadmap development, reusable platform capability design, microservices and API architecture, rule-driven frameworks, event-driven integrations, agile delivery, stakeholder alignment, governance, audit readiness, security, observability, SRE practices, resilience, and cost optimization. The role also mentors junior team members and translates regulatory and business needs into technical solutions.
Summary Generated by Built In

We seek a high-performing Senior Associate to help evolve our client onboarding and documentation platform as a strategic product. You will bridge product vision, technical architecture, and delivery execution to scale a configurable, high‑speed platform across complex, cross‑LOB regulatory needs. You will partner with Product Owners, Design Leads, Risk, Compliance, and Business stakeholders to define and deliver platform capabilities and reusable enablers that accelerate enterprise outcomes.
If you think in customer journeys, API contracts, and rule-driven design—and turn that into governed, scalable implementation—this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities
1) Product-Led Vision
•    Contribute to the product roadmap and platform evolution with clear value propositions, personas, and success metrics.
•    Help define data services, rules engines, event-driven patterns, workflow, integrations, and UI components as reusable capabilities.
•    Design for “build once, configure everywhere,” avoiding one-offs.
•    Support observability and platform health (reliability, performance, security, cost, developer experience) and drive improvements.
•    Publish reusable platform signals via asynchronous eventing to reduce coupling.
2) Service-Oriented & Rule-Driven Architecture
•    Design and implement components in SOA/microservices with crisp domain boundaries, API contracts, and event-driven patterns.
•    Build rule-driven frameworks (policy-as-code, decision engines) that externalize business logic for rapid change without redeployments.
•    Contribute to API standards and data contracts for interoperability.
•    Support modernization from monolithic, intent-based workflows to content-first, configuration-driven approaches that absorb cross‑LOB nuances at speed.
3) Technical Leadership & Delivery
•    Operate in cross-functional squads (product, design, QA, DevOps) using agile practices, balancing innovation with stability.
•    Translate regulatory and business needs into scalable technical deliverables; refine epics, stories, and acceptance criteria.
•    Apply delivery best practices including CI/CD, automated testing, observability, security-by-design, and SRE-aligned engineering.
•    Mentor junior members and promote a culture of experimentation, learning, and accountability.
4) Stakeholder Engagement & Influence
•    Partner with business, risk, and compliance to surface pain points and regulatory drivers; reflect them in designs and plans.
•    Communicate technical trade-offs and risk/option sets in business terms for working groups and senior updates.
•    Collaborate with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, and security to align with firmwide standards and controls.
•    Support governance readiness (architecture reviews, risk assessments, audit evidence).
5) Platform Health, Controls & Resilience
•    Ensure the platform meets audit, regulatory, and control needs (data lineage, decision explainability, access controls, evidence capture).
•    Support SRE practices (SLIs/SLOs, incident management, error budgets, resilience testing).
•    Contribute to cost optimization and capacity planning, balancing performance and scalability.
•    Build and maintain telemetry on adoption, performance, and business outcomes to inform prioritization.
Required Skills & Experience
1) Product Mindset
•    Typically 6+ years in software engineering/product design, with 2+ years on platform capabilities.
•    Proven ability to treat software as a product—clarifying value, user journeys, and success metrics.
•    Experience building reusable capabilities (APIs, SDKs, frameworks, shared services) used by multiple teams.
•    Strong grasp of user-centered design, configuration over customization, and self-service enablement.
2) Technical Depth & Architecture
•    Working proficiency in SOA/microservices, event-driven architecture, and API design.
•    Experience with rule engines/decision management/policy-as-code.
•    Understanding of data architecture concepts (domain models, canonical data, event sourcing, CQRS, lineage, governance).
•    Experience with workflow/case/BPM.
3) Affinity to Applied AI/ML
•    Experience contributing to AI/ML integrations or experimentation, assessing feasibility, risk, and value.
•    Familiarity with modernization initiatives (microservices migration, legacy decommissioning, cloud adoption).
4) Leadership & Communication
•    Clear communicator who translates technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders and business needs into implementable solutions.
•    Ability to influence in a matrix, drive alignment, and manage ambiguity with timely escalation.
•    Demonstrated collaboration with product, design, risk, compliance, operations, and enterprise architecture.
5) Agile & Delivery Excellence
•    Experience with agile (Scrum/Kanban; SAFe a plus) and strong product delivery practices (epics, stories, acceptance criteria, DoD).
•    Track record delivering complex change with quality, including automated tests, observability, and operational readiness.
•    Familiarity with SRE concepts (SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, incidents, resilience) applied to day‑to‑day delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
•    Experience in financial services with awareness of regulatory and banking environments.
•    Exposure to analytics/telemetry and platform health metrics.
•    Exposure to audit/control frameworks (SOX, GDPR, privacy, access controls, evidence capture).
•    Experience with global, distributed teams across time zones.
Education
•    Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Product Design, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
