Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNO Software Developer to join our team in Lorton, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions for computer network operations, focusing on network security and system optimization.
- Design and develop software applications for network operations and security monitoring
- Create and implement efficient algorithms for network analysis and data processing
- Debug and optimize existing software systems for enhanced performance
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement secure coding practices
- Develop and maintain documentation for all software components
- Conduct code reviews and ensure quality assurance standards are met
- Create and implement automated testing procedures
- Analyze network traffic patterns and develop appropriate software solutions
- Participate in incident response and troubleshooting activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in software development with focus on network operations
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and C++
- Extensive knowledge of network protocols and security principles
- Advanced experience with Linux/Unix operating systems
- Proven experience with software development methodologies and best practices
- Strong background in version control systems and collaborative development
- Experience with network analysis tools and debugging techniques
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices
- Security certifications (CISSP, CEH) preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Experience in Computer Network Operations (CNO) environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
