Job Summary –

Produce a wide variety of weldments in a safe, quality and productive manner. Assist the Weld Lead in scheduling and other tasks as needed.

General Functions –

• Operate CNC machines, including equipment like drill press, saws, router, shear, sanders, grinders
• Position parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blue prints.
• Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
• Operate air drills and screw guns, rivet guns, grinders, and hand tools to assist in assembly.
• Identify Short Stocks and report them
• Perform other duties as assigned

Expected Areas of Competence –

• Previous manufacturing assembly experience preferred.
• Previous knowledge of marine, automotive or motor repair required.
• Previous work history in a fast paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to follow detailed verbal and written instructions including understanding production schedule and prints
• Ability to audit departmental work area
• Strong record keeping abilities and able to multi-task
• Working knowledge of procedures, instructions and documents as it relates to the quality system
• Knowledge of hazardous chemical handling and disposal
• Knowledge of BOM and making adjustments as needed
• Abide by all safety rules and regulations as they apply to Brunswick as well as OSHA

Education Requirements – High school diploma or equivalent

Skill Requirements – Computer data systems and software applications

Physical Requirements – Lift up to 30 lbs up to 60% of shift and 50 lbs up to 30% of shift; push/pull up to 30 lbs

Travel Requirements – 0% - 10%
