We are partnering with a growing manufacturer seeking an Advanced CNC Programmer / Technical Lead to drive programming excellence, optimize machining processes, mentor operators, and support future automation initiatives.
This is a hands-on role where you'll have the opportunity to improve production efficiency, reduce downtime, develop best practices, and serve as the go-to technical expert within the machining department.
What You'll Do
- Create and optimize CNC programs for production machining.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, setup, and programming issues.
- Improve cycle times, machine utilization, and overall process efficiency.
- Lead setup validation, first-piece approvals, and production launches.
- Support fixture development and tooling optimization.
- Train and mentor CNC operators and setup personnel.
- Develop work instructions, setup sheets, and standardized processes.
- Support advanced manufacturing and automation projects.
What We're Looking For
- Strong CNC programming background.
- Experience with CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM, Esprit, HyperMill, or similar.
- Advanced G-code knowledge.
- Strong setup, fixturing, tooling, and troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to improve machining processes and drive continuous improvement.
- Leadership or mentoring experience preferred.
- Experience with Haas, Mazak, Brother, Fanuc, or similar controls is a plus.
