- Develop/modify CNC programs, fixtures and set up sheets. Specify part holding techniques, speeds, feeds and tooling.
- Operate and set-up machines within the department.
- Inspect parts and document results of inspections on in process inspection plans.
- Continuously monitor equipment and tooling. In the event of a breakdown or other event that would disrupt the process, notify department manager to resolve the problem.
- Follow the instructions on the setup sheet, drawings and/or programs.
- Assist with training of new team members and operators.
- Participate in new job reviews and design for manufacturing sessions. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and quality improvements.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Adhere to company safety requirements.
- Assure that assigned activities are performed in accordance with Seabrook Quality System procedures.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 3-5 years related experience
- Highly proficient with one or more of the following CNC machines: EDM RAM, EDM Wire, Lathe, Mill, Mill-Turn, Swiss.
- 3D CAD Skills
- Able to program one or more CNC machine platforms.
- Experienced in use of caliper, micrometer, OC and height gage for dimensional inspection.
- Strong shop math skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Strong mechanical and trouble shooting ability.
- Ability to contribute to a team-oriented environment.
- Light to moderate physical exertion required
- Lifting/carrying Maximum lbs.: 50
- Regularly required to stand, reach, and move about the facility
