Selects the process, work holding, tooling and generates the part program to most efficiently and accurately produce manufactured components to meet company quality measures and standard times on computerized numerical control (CNC) machines. Creates and maintains all documentation for CNC equipment. Also provides process information and cycle time estimates for costing.

Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities:

• Program, set up, and perform first article inspections on multi-axis CNC mills and lathes for production and prototype components.
• Create, review, and edit CNC machining programs using MasterCam.
• Maintain and update programming databases and files for each part and machining center.
• Support manufacturing operations by providing input for routers and process flows.
• Develop and recommend resources and methods for equipment, tooling, materials, and processes.
• Review older programs and process flows for optimization opportunities to improve cycle times, tool life, and production costs.
• Design and troubleshoot fixtures and tooling to optimize cycle times and quality.
• Create setup sheets and standard tool lists for different cells and parts.
• Track and evaluate costs and efficiency, including tooling, material, and cycles.
• Provide training and guidance to machinists, operators, and other team members.
• Assist in providing information for quotations and contract reviews.
• Collaborate with engineering and production personnel to improve design manufacturability and minimize part cost.

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or GED, preferably Associates Degree or higher.
• Proficient in CAD/CAM (MasterCam) or minimum of two years programming experience using MasterCam. Basic shop math, basic trigonometry and GD&T.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to work in and around a manufacturing environment and have no restrictions on wearing safety footwear and protective eyewear.

Pay Range:

28.80 - 43.20
