Job Type: Contract to Hire
Shift: 1st Shift (Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM; Saturdays, 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM as needed)
Starting Pay: From $33.00/hour (Higher pay available based on experience)

Professional Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer & Precision Machinist to manufacture high-quality industrial components in a production environment. This role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC lathes and mills while maintaining tight tolerances and meeting quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong machining experience, excellent blueprint reading skills, and a commitment to precision, safety, and continuous production.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret machining drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes and CNC mills to manufacture precision components.
  • Create and modify G-code programs as required for production.
  • Work with CNC controls, including Fagor, Fanuc, Haas, and Heidenhain (experience with all controls is not required).
  • Produce parts while maintaining tolerances as close as 0.0005 inch.
  • Inspect finished components using precision measuring equipment, including:
    • Calipers
    • Micrometers
    • Dial bore gauges
    • Monitor machining operations to ensure consistent quality and accuracy.
    • Follow safe work practices while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
    • Support production schedules, including overtime and occasional Saturday work when required.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC machining equipment.
  • Experience with CNC lathes and mills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, machining drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Experience using precision measuring tools to verify part dimensions and tolerances.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
  • Dependable attendance and a professional work ethic.
  • Commitment to workplace safety in a heavy industrial environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience programming or operating Fagor, Fanuc, Haas, or Heidenhain CNC controls.
  • Knowledge of G-code programming.
  • Experience working in a precision machining or industrial manufacturing environment.
