We are seeking a CNC Programmer with experience programming 5-axis CNC mills. You will develop new CNC programs for production runs or modify existing programs for different machines. During the manufacturing process, you will perform quality checks with the machine operator to ensure the program is producing parts according to specifications, making manual adjustments if necessary. You will also work with the engineers to look for product modifications that might reduce the amount of material or fabrication time. You should be familiar with computer-aided design programs.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Program parts prior to release of work to the machining work cell.
  • Generate setup instructions and machine tool lists for operators.
  • Update CNC programs and manufacturing processes to help optimize machining lead times.
  • Maintain continuity between two work shifts by communicating requirements, documenting irregularities, and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Verify all operations have been completed as specified on the documents.
  • Adhere to company safety policies.
  • Perform work in accordance with Quality requirements.
  • Assist in the development of operations and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the CNC machining work cell.
  • Provide exceptional internal and external customer service.
  • Demonstrate independent judgment and initiative.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience programming 5 Axis Mill Machines
  • Minimum five (5) years’ related machining and tool development.
  • Certificate in Machining Technologies or equivalent experience
  • Ability to read and interpret Blue Prints/Technical Drawing
  • Ability to set up machines quickly and accurately for next job
  • Able to clearly communicate and document process for machinist.
  • Strong knowledge of Machine tool technology and tooling applications
  • Knowledge of machining high tolerance parts. Experience with GD&T.
  • Self-Starter / Self-Motivated / Flexible / Detail-Oriented.
  • Reliable and dependable.
