CNC machine shop seeking qualified individual to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The CNC Machinist sets up and operates CNC machines from blueprints, specifications, and job layouts, holding very close dimensional tolerances across a variety of materials. This role requires strong technical skills, good independent judgment, and a commitment to quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Set up new and repeat jobs efficiently from blueprints and job routers
- Create programs at the machine and produce parts to blueprint specifications
- Submit and achieve first article approval
- Achieve machine rate listed on the job router
- Ensure part process is stable and ready for operator handoff
- Operate machines while monitoring and maintaining part quality
- Change worn tooling and make machine offsets as needed
- Inspect and document critical features per the inspection document
- Complete all required production documentation and enter setup and production daily
- Properly identify machined parts using labels or tags
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work independently while keeping foreman and engineering informed of any issues or developments
