We are looking for experienced CNC Machinist to join our team specialising in Manufacturing for our Operations Support department in Huddersfield, United Kingdom.

Contract: Permanent
Salary: £35,000 + 19% shift allowance for mid shift
Working Hours: 35 hours per week, mid shift: Monday – Friday, 3pm – 10:15pm

Key Responsibilities:
- Set, operate, and maintain CNC lathes, milling machines, and grinders
- Adjust tool offsets and datums to ensure precision machining
- Carry out detailed inspections using CMM machines and attribute gauges
- Work within the Bearing Housing machining area, supporting multiple CNC processes and machine types as part of a multi-skilled team
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in CNC turning and milling of metal components
- Hands-on machining experience with a strong understanding of precision tolerances and measuring equipment
- Proactive mindset with strong initiative and problem-solving ability
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to support and train others
- Strong sense of accountability and commitment to team objectives
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience within a machine shop environment
Desirable Skills & Experience
- CNC programming knowledge
- Apprenticeship-trained CNC machinist
- Experience with CNC grinding, CMM operation, and robotics/cobots
