We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team in Cuyahoga Falls. If you enjoy challenging work, machining large precision parts, and taking ownership of quality craftsmanship, we want to hear from you.

The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating CNC mills, lathes, manual machines, or horizontal boring mills to manufacture precision components according to blueprint specifications. This role requires strong machining skills, blueprint reading abilities, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, manual mills, or Fanuc-controlled Horizontal Boring Mills (HBM).
  • Determine machine setups, tooling requirements, and machining sequences to maximize efficiency and quality.
  • Load, unload, and secure raw materials and finished workpieces.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, and technical specifications.
  • Verify dimensions, tolerances, and finished part requirements.
  • Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments including:
  • Experience using measuring tools: Micrometers (OD/ID),Calipers, & Dial Indicators
  • Ensure components meet customer specifications and quality standards.
  • Identify, stage, and label materials for production and downstream operations.
  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts when required.

Equipment Maintenance & Safety

  • Conduct daily machine inspections and routine preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all company safety and quality procedures.

Cross-Training & Team Support

  • Assist with additional machining operations as production demands require.
  • Collaborate with fellow employee-owners to improve productivity and quality.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of expe rience as a CNC Machinist, Manual Machinist, HBM Operator, Lathe Machinist, or Mill Machinist.
  • Experience performing machine setups and operating machining equipment independently.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
  • Strong understanding of machining practices, feeds, speeds, tooling, and tolerances.
  • Proficiency using precision measuring equipment.
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle materials in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Horizontal Boring Mills (HBM).
  • Fanuc CNC control experience.
  • G-Code and M-Code programming knowledge.
  • Forklift and overhead crane experience.
  • Experience machining alloy steels and large fabricated components.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Physical activities include pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and reaching as necessary.
  • Steel-toe boots and safety glasses are required.
