Position – CNC Machinist

Location: Park City, UT

We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for an opportunity supporting an aerospace manufacturing environment in Park City, UT. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes and milling machines to produce precision components used in commercial and military aerospace applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Independently set up, adjust, and operate CNC lathes and milling machines
  • Manufacture precision aerospace components in accordance with engineering drawings and work instructions
  • Inspect machines and equipment before production and identify operating issues
  • Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and coordinate repairs when required
  • Use hand tools, gauges, and precision measuring equipment to verify part dimensions
  • Perform standard shop calculations related to dimensions, tolerances, and machining requirements
  • Set and adjust machine controls, tooling, speeds, and feeds as required
  • Monitor machining operations and verify product quality throughout the manufacturing process
  • Follow statistical process control, visual inspection plans, and applicable quality procedures
  • Complete work according to production schedules and manufacturing requirements
  • Identify and resolve production issues that may affect quality or delivery
  • Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all safety procedures and quality standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Summary of Education, Experience and Certification

High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant CNC machining experience required
  • Post-secondary CNC machining certificate or degree preferred
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC lathes or milling machines required
  • Aerospace or precision manufacturing experience preferred
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment required

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes and production equipment
  • Ability to independently set up and operate CNC lathes and milling machines
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments
  • Ability to perform standard machining and shop calculations
  • Knowledge of tooling, machine controls, speeds, and feeds
  • Ability to inspect completed work and identify dimensional discrepancies
  • Strong mechanical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment

Export Control and Work Authorization Requirements

This position may require access to information or technology regulated by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and Export Administration Regulations.

Applicants must meet applicable export-control requirements and be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, speak, hear, and use their hands to operate machines, tools, and measuring equipment.

The employee may occasionally be required to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
