3.- CNC MACHINIST LEVEL III (at least 5 years of experience with CNC machines):  

Requirements for CNC Machinist Level II are required for CNC Machinist Level III

Set up, programing, editing and operating complex CNC machines

Provide full machining process for complex parts

Estimate runtime per operation based on the material characteristics, shape/configuration, and available machinery capacity.

Assist with the development of the product design and functionality and improves manufacturing methods.

Select appropriate inserts, and tools to improve the production time, while minimizing scrap material.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals..

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
