Job Purpose
The S/4 CMO Planning Integration Manager will provide specialist expertise and knowledge of the CMO Planning and Execution processes expertise within the ERP Evolution program. The role will define, govern, and continuously improve the future-state processes connecting Global Planning, Site Planning, Manufacturing, and External Supply.
Working across business and technology teams, the role holder will translate business needs into a globally standardized, compliant, and practical SAP S/4HANA process and systems blueprint. The role will champion adoption of the global template, support implementation across deployment waves, and ensure that the solution delivers sustainable operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
The role will require working in collaboration with other team members within the ERP Evolution program (both internal and external to GSK), including PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), central and site Planning, Direct Procurement and External Supply to design and deliver a robust CMO planning process and solution with particular responsibility for:
- Contribute to the development of the future CMO operating model and virtual plant design, defining business requirements and contributing to S/4HANA design decisions for external manufacturing, batch-level execution, inventory visibility, stock ownership, and planning integration
- Support definition and harmonization of ways of working across Global Planning, Site Planning, Manufacturing, and External Supply.
- Cover core process areas including net requirements planning, purchase requisition and purchase order management, supplier commitments, inventory replenishment, supply exceptions, capacity reviews, new product introductions, product transfers, regulatory changes, and lifecycle planning.
- Understand and articulate business requirements, assess design options, and recommend solutions aligned with the global template.
- Translate agreed decisions into clear process designs, functional requirements, data requirements, reporting needs, and solution blueprints.
- Define process data and master-data ownership to support data integrity, compliance, traceability, and effective performance management.
- Partner with the system integrator and business representatives to ensure that workshop decisions are accurately reflected in the solution design.
- Ensure adherence to global ERP Evolution process and solution governance, escalating design decisions and deviations through the appropriate design authority.
- Align Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, and External Supply stakeholders and drive timely issue resolution.
- Define and create test scenarios and test scripts for CMO planning process across Informal Testing, UAT and DIL. Also support and execute UAT and DIL testing for CMO planning activities, including defect triage, resolution tracking and alignment with program test governance.
- Work closely with site planning teams and cluster functions to ensure CMO process design is understood, that local ways of working are assessed and change impacts are captured in the Local Change Action Plans.
- Collaborate with Deployment teams and Global Process Owners to support Change Impact Assessments and the consistent implementation of CMO processes and system designs across sites and program waves, ensuring changes are managed through established governance processes.
- Monitor process performance after implementation and lead continuous improvement while protecting the integrity of the global standard.
Basic Qualifications
- Deep specialist knowledge of CMO planning and execution process and its interaction with other supply chain processes.
- Strong operational experience and functional understanding of CMO process in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
- Significant experience in supply chain planning, procurement, manufacturing, external supply, or integrated business planning within a complex or regulated environment.
- Experience working on large-scale global transformation programs, preferably involving process design and SAP implementation.
- Proven ability to define business requirements, evaluate options, design global processes, and deliver sustainable process changes.
- Experience facilitating workshops and managing multifunctional, geographically dispersed teams and stakeholders.
- Experience translating business requirements into process, data, control, reporting, and technology specifications.
- Experience supporting testing, deployment, change management, and capability development.
